Structural Features The hinge expansion joint is composed of a connecting pipe, a bellows, and a pair of hinges connected by the connecting pipe. It can only absorb the angular displacement of a single plane. Two or three angular expansion joints should be used in combination when absorbing displacement. The hinge of the compensator has the ability to withstand internal pressure thrust.
